- Condition: The dryer has detected the overload on the contactor for the wet fill has tripped.
- Alarm Action Taken: COOL DOWN
- Component: Thermal overload on wet fill contactor
- Location: Inside High voltage cabinet at base of dryer.
Tools Required for Service:
- Voltage/continuity meter
- Small standard blade screwdriver (wiring terminals)
Tech tip:
The thermal overloads on a motor starter protect the motor from too high of current based on an overload condition. They are normally adjustable and have a “Reset” button to push to reset the overload once the cause of the trip has been cleared.
Potential causes of this alarm condition:
- Over amperage caused by plugged conveyor
- Faulty motor
- Faulty overload
- Poor or loose wiring connection on overload or motor
