- Condition: Dryer Master has detected the inlet moisture sensor indicates the incoming grain has reached a high or low moisture level beyond the “warning” status.
- Alarm Action Taken: WARNING ONLY
- Component: Dryer Master Moisture Sensor.
- Location: Normally mounted in the upper most outside wall sheet at the top of the dryer accessible from the access ladder.
Tech tip: (Value is set in the “Dryer Master Alarm Settings” screen)
This alarm indicates a “critical” moisture condition of the incoming grain to the dryer. If this alarm appears, proceed to the “Dryer Master Alarm Settings” screen to determine if the condition is critical high or critical low based on the current reading and the alarm values that have been set.
(After acknowledging the alarm, this alarm can be temporarily silenced by changing the critical moisture high or critical moisture low setting to take the dryer out of the alarm condition. This will provide time to investigate the cause of the alarm.)
Tools Required for Service:
- Phillips screwdriver (to remove cover)
- ½” wrench (to remove sensor from dryer)
- Channel Lock (to loosen sealtite fitting)
- Wire cutters/strippers (if replacing sensor)
Potential Causes of this Alarm Condition:
- Could be a small amount of different moisture grain or different source of grain
- Critical High Alarm setpoint too low
- Critical Low Alarm setpoint too high
