- Condition: The dryer has detected the VFD for the metering has gone into fault.
- Alarm Action Taken: SHUT DOWN
- Component: Metering VFD (Variable Frequency Drive)
- Location: Inside High voltage cabinet at base of dryer.
Tools Required for Service:
- Voltage/continuity meter
- Small standard blade screwdriver (vfd wiring terminals)
Tech tip:
This alarm occurs when the VFD has gone into fault for any reason. Check the code on the digital display of the VFD to determine the cause of the fault.
If the cause of the fault has cleared, the fault can be cleared by cycling power (turn off the supply breaker) to the unit and waiting for the display of the drive to go blank. Turn power back on and check to make sure any fault has cleared.

- Over amperage caused by plugged metering system
- Over/under current
