The Auto Starting screen remains the same as the Run Screen other than you will advance to this screen as soon as the Pre-Start Auto requirements are met and Start is selected. You will be able to see the Dryer devices progress through the Start Up sequence and then establish a standard Run Screen to operate the dryer. All functions and displays of a standard Run Screen pertain to this Screen.
Fan Status
The fan status is displayed both by rotating graphics within the dryer image on the screen. When rotating the dryer fans are running. The Fan Running status is displayed on the right side of screen confirming Fans Running as well as IWC (inches of water column). When IWC are within operating range then it will display Air Pressure OK which confirms that all fans are running and producing required amount of air to operate the burner.
Burner Status
Displayed in the graphics of the dryer image. When the burner is lit and confirmed the graphics will show flame above the fans in the burner of the dryer. The Burner information is also displayed on the right side of the screen showing Pilot Status and Burner Status.
Fill Status
is displayed at the top of the dryer image and indicates the mode of the fill switch. (Red) indicates that switch is not satisfied and dryer is not full. (Green) will indicate that the switch has been satisfied and that the timing sequence to shut of fill equipment has begun. The pertinent time will display and show a countdown when applicable. When light turns (Green) the Fill Off Delay Timer will show set time and show countdown to shutting down fill conveyor. When adequate amount of grain has been discharged from the dryer and dryer is calling for grain the (Red) light will display and the Fill On Delay Timer will show set time and countdown to turning the fill equipment on. NOTE: The purpose of these timers is to manage the dryer fill equipment so not to turn On and Off to rapidly. When dryer is full either by the management of the fill equipment or by use of a choke load system that maintains dryer full continuously, the Green FULL will display.
Discharge Status (Metering)
The discharge information is displayed at the lower left of the dryer image. The (Green) indicator light indicates the metering is running. Here you can Set or review the Discharge Rate of the metering system. By pressing the white rectangular box and a keypad will drop down to enter a % discharge speed. This function is only available in Manual Mode and the white box will not be visible or available in either Temp+ Mode or DryerMaster Mode. The actual % speed remains visible in all modes. Just below the discharge speed the bushel per hour (bu/hr) will display.
Takeaway Status
is the conveyor taking grain from the dryer. This is Customer provided equipment but is controlled from the dryer. The (Green) indicator light indicates the conveyor is running. Cleanout times for this conveyor as well as the DryerMaster Dry Grain Sampler is referenced in the Timers section under Settings.
Input Sensor Status
Information is displayed to the upper right of the dryer image. This displays the Wet Grain Moisture and Temperature entering the dryer. When running in DryerMaster Mode these values are used in the automatic control of the moisture exiting the dryer. If in Manual mode they are still displayed for operator reference. By pressing on the screen in this area you will advance to an Inlet Sensor Calibration Screen where you can calibrate this sensor to align with a moisture tester reading. NOTE: It advised not to calibrate this sensor more than once per day or even more than once per several days of dryer operation. These sensors are very accurate and if a tester value appears to be off a retest should be done. This sensor is located at the top of the dryer and is mounted in lower area of the solid sidewall sheet. This is near the ladder for service access.
Plenum Temp Status
This is displayed midway down the left side of the dryer image. Here you can set or view the Plenum Setpoint as well as the actual Plenum Temp in the dryer. The set point can be changed here by pressing the white rectangular box and using the drop down keypad to make your entry.
Output Sensor Status
Information is displayed to the lower right of the dryer image. This displays the Dry Grain Moisture and Temperature exiting the dryer. When running in DryerMaster Mode these values are used in the automatic control of the moisture exiting the dryer. If in Manual mode they are still displayed for operator reference. By pressing on the screen in this area you will advance to an Outlet Sensor Calibration Screen where you can calibrate this sensor to align with a moisture tester reading.
NOTE: It advised not to calibrate this sensor more than once per day or even more than once per several days of dryer operation. These sensors are very accurate and if a tester value appears to be off a retest should be done. This sensor is located in the DryerMaster sampler box mounted on the discharge conveyor.
MidGrain Temperature Status
Displayed midway down the left side of the dryer image. The midgrain RTD (Resistance Thermal Device) is located in the grain column midway down the heated section of the dryer. It is monitoring and displaying the grain temperature at this point in the drying cycle. This value is used to control moisture exiting the dryer along with the outlet sensor when running the Temp+ Mode
Run Mode Status
Displayed in the lower right corner of the screen. Here you will view the mode status of the DryerMaster Control. The Modes will display. Idol which indicates that the DryerMaster is powered off along with the dryer metering system off.
Learning Mode
Indicates that the DryerMaster is gathering information to input in a dryer model that will used to predict a discharge rate to achieve a predicted moisture output.
Ready Mode
Indicates that the DryerMaster has enough information and that the predicted moisture is within range of the actual moisture and the target moisture. The Control system indicates ready to be put into automatic. This is done by pressing the DryerMaster rectangular box which will aluminate Green. If the mode returns to learning after a few seconds press the box again to lock into Auto Mode.
Temp+ Mode
Alternative based moisture control. Temp+ uses the midgrain temperature to manage the speed of grain through the dryer. Temp+ has a very unique feature in that it will periodically check actual moisture and adjust for a new Midgrain temp setting if needed.
Manual Mode
Takes all automatic control from the dryer and looks for manual input from the operator. In this Mode the operator controls discharge speed of the dryer achieving desire output moisture.
Pause Button
Can be pressed to put the dryer operation into hold. When holding the Fill systems is displaying (Holding) the Burner is displaying (Holding) The Discharge (Metering) is displaying holding as well as the takeaway conveyor. The Hold time is 5 minutes. The pilot remains lit during this time delay. The hold time will display counting down on the screen and when it times out the dryer will display Cooldown. The dryer can be restarted (Restart Dryer) from Pause as the pilot remains lit but cannot restart from the run screen after dryer goes into cooldown as the pilot is no longer lit in cooldown. To Restart Dryer you will need to return to Manual Start and begin manual start sequence again.
Status displays will be visible on the run screen when applicable including Flame Guard Alarm (Honeywell) status alarm. This will require a Honeywell reset by accessing the Honeywell located behind the inner door of the dryer panel and selecting reset. Dirty Heat Zone screens when IWC reaches a preset level.
