- Condition: The dryer has detected that grain has backed up exiting the dryer.
- Alarm Action Taken: MINOR ALARM
- Component: Microswitch w/roller head.
- Location: Mounted on the transition directly under the floor panel of the unloading trough before the reclaim conveyor where the grain exits the dryer.
Tech tip: (115 vac circuit)
The unload pressure switch is activated by grain applying pressure on a “Pop Up” hinged door as a result of the presence of grain building up between the dryer outlet and the inlet of the reclaim conveyor.
Tools Required for Service:
- Voltage/continuity meter
- #2 Philips screwdriver (wiring terminals inside)
- Small standard blade screwdriver (to open cover)
- Channel Locks (if replacing switch)
Potential Causes of this Alarm Condition:
- Reclaim Conveyor taking grain away from the dryer has stopped.
- “Pop Up” door stuck in open position
- Loose connection or faulty contacts in switch
- Infiltration of water in switch
