The Manual Start Screen is made available once the Pre-Start Manual screen conditions are met. The Manual Start Screen can also be selected from a left side Icon on the Run Screen. When the Run Screen is viewed the top Left Side Icon changes to Home Screen which returns you to the Manual Start up Screen as well. When Manual Start is selected from the Platinum+ screen you will view the Stop/Start stations of the various devices of the dryer. I.e. Fans, Fill, Burner, Takeaway, and Metering. Each of the devices can be controlled individually however there is a select sequence that must be followed as the operator chooses the device. NOTE: The burner Stop/Start is subdued out and cannot be started without
the Fans running and the dryer full. Once this condition is met then all devices of the dryer can be started.
By pressing the Start function of the Fans the fans will then start and as they come to speed the IWC (Inches of Water Column) will display. This value must reach a preset level before burner can be Started. Selecting the Fill Start will then activate the fill equipment and begin or continue filling the dryer until dryer reaches full condition indicated by the Fill Switch indicator. (When indicator is green then this indicates that the fill conveyor is running. When the Fill Switch Indicator shows Red then fill conveyors are no longer running and dryer is Full.
Anytime during this fill process while waiting for the dryer to achieve Full the Gas Train can be enabled by pressing the Gas Train Enable button. The screen will then prompt you to go to the Manual Maxon Valve out at the dryer and to rotate the handle to engage the Manual Maxon Valve. He firm resistance will be felt as you pull back the handle and latch open the valve. A view window on the valve will indicated (OPEN) or when deactivated will indicate (SHUT)
Once the dryer is Full and the Gas Train in enabled the Burner Stop/Start will aluminate indicating that the Burner can now be Started. When Burner is started the screen will show progress of the lighting process by showing (Purging) then (Pilot Lighting) and then (Pilot Lit) followed by (Burner Lighting) and then (Burner Lit). You should then set or verify the Plenum Temp Setpoint by pressing the White Rectangular Box which will drop down a keypad to enter Plenum Temp.
The Takeaway Conveyor can be started at any time during any of the above process or separately from the above process. When the Status Indicator is Green this will indicate that the conveyor is running and Red will indicate that the conveyor has stopped. The length of Cleanout Time before the Takeaway Conveyor stops can be entered or verified in the White Rectangular box labeled Cleanout Timer) Press the White Rectangular box for the dropdown keypad to make any entries.
Once the Takeaway Conveyor is running then the Metering will aluminate allowing the starting of the Metering System. The Status indicator will show Green when the metering is running and Red when the Metering has stopped. The Speed of the Metering can be set or verified by pressing the Set Point (White Rectangular box) and entering a % value with the dropdown keypad.
